Pharmacology and Toxicology

1. Pharmacology: This product can reduce the cholesterol and triglyceride content in the blood of experimental hyperlipidemic rats. It has a significant anti-inflammatory effect on acute, subacute, and chronic inflammatory rats induced by xylene egg white foot swelling agar, formaldehyde, etc., and has a significant analgesic effect on electrostimulation and writhing reaction mouse models. This product promotes the production of chicken red blood cell hemolysin antibodies and enhances the lymphocyte transformation rate in mice stimulated by PHA.
2. Toxicology: Acute toxicity tests in mice showed that the maximum tolerated oral dose of propolis tablets was 17.6g/kg. The results of long-term toxicity experiments in rats showed that propolis tablets had no abnormal phenomena on body weight, diet, hair color, skin, stool, and movement state, and had no significant effect on organ coefficient blood count, blood biochemical indicators, etc.; pathological histological examination results showed that propolis tablets had no toxic damage to solid organs (heart, liver, kidney, brain, etc.), nor did it cause other organ lesions.
