Cangqi Xiaoke Granules is a purely traditional Chinese medicine preparation composed of thirteen herbs, including ginseng and astragalus. It is included in the Ministry of Health's Drug Standards, Traditional Chinese Medicine Compound Preparations, Volume 17, with the execution standard WS3-B-3232-98 and approval number Guo Yao Zhun Zi Z53021249. It is produced by Yunnan Runjia Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
It has the functions of invigorating Qi, nourishing Yin, promoting body fluid production, relieving thirst, nourishing the spleen and kidney. It is mainly used to treat diabetes insipidus (type Ⅱ diabetes), and can improve symptoms such as thirst, polydipsia, polyuria, lethargy, and dizziness. It can also lower blood sugar and urinary sugar.
Clinical trials conducted by three provincial hospitals have shown that it is effective in treating Qi and Yin deficiency in diabetes. The effective rate of the experimental group was 94.3%, significantly better than the 78.7% of the control group. It also showed superior effects in reducing urinary sugar compared to the control group, while improving the main symptoms and tongue appearance, and is safe without side effects.
The drug is a brownish-granular substance with an aromatic scent and a bitter, slightly sweet taste. Each bag contains 12g, packaged in a pure aluminum foil bag, 12g × 10 bags/box. The shelf life is 36 months and it should be stored in a sealed container. Usage: dissolve in boiling water, 1-2 bags at a time, 3 times a day.
